Changes in the design and constructon industries have led to the development of new ways to deliver projects to Owners. Time and cost have become more critical in today's competitive environment. SMPS WIchita invites you to join us for a panel discussion with local experts on alternate methods of delivering projects, including design-build and Construction Manager At-Risk, as well as a look at Integrated Project Delivery. Panelists will talk about their own experience with alternate delivery methods from the client, builder and consultant perspectives.

This panel discussion will take place on Thursday, June 30th at BG Products' facility just south of Kellogg in downtown. Parking is available in the large lot south of the Orme & WIchita Street intersection.
Panelist Bios
Ed Martin is a registered architect, and for the last 10 years, he has been the Building Services Manager for the City of Wichita. During his career he has worked in a variety of capacities including private practice, Director of Facilities Planning at WSU, and Director of Architectural Services for the State of Kansas. Ed is a member of the American Public Works Association
Kile Morrison was born in Wichita and attended Wichita Southeast High School. After graduating from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Architecture, he returned to Wichita and spent the next 17 years practicing architecture. Kile joined GLMV Architecture (then Gossen Livingston Associates in 1987 and has been leading the Kansas City office since 1994. Kile is a Registered Architect in several states. Early in his career, Kile worked for two design-build firms and has participated in projects as designer, estimator, project manager, and owner’s representative. In 2009 Kile completed the Design-Build Institute of America series of Designation Courses and test and received became what DBIA refers to as a “Designated Individual”. Kile has experience with projects completed under a variety of delivery methods.
Ben Hutton is currently the President of Hutton Construction. His experience in the construction industry began at a young age. He has traversed through the ranks from general site labor, foreman, site superintendent, project manager/estimator, Vice President of Business Development, to his current position. Upon graduation from Kansas State University with his Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Science and Management, Ben spent several years working for a large construction company located in Colorado Springs, CO. During these years Ben was instrumental in providing pre-construction services on large hospital and hospitality projects in the Colorado Springs area and elsewhere on the Front Range. Rejoining the family business in 2006 after a successful career in Colorado, Ben continued his education by obtaining an Executive MBA from Friends University.
Eric Bosch, AIA is the City Architect for the City of Kansas City, Missouri and has been instrumental in the successful planning, design and construction of numerous Design Build Projects for the City. Prior to this latest appointment, Bosch served the City as manager of architecture, 2005 – 2011; manager of design and construction, 1992 – 2005; and staff architect, 1990 – 1992. Bosch has been active as a member of the Oversight Committee Kansas City Convention Center Expansion, adviser to the Municipal Art Commission and chair of the LEED Standards Committee. He is a 1983 graduate of Kansas State University and is a member of the American Institute of Architects, the Design-Build Institute of America, the U.S. Green Building Association and the American Public Works Association.
