The 16th Hillsborough Township "Economic & Business Development Commission" Business Social will be held on Monday, June 20th at 5:00 PM.  The event will be held at the The Maestro 206 which is located at 150 Route 206 South. www.Maestro206.com. 

The guest speaker at the Business Social will be Linda Kellner, Acting Executive Director of the Business Action Center (BAC) under Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno in her capacity as New Jersey's Secretary of State.  The BAC is the one stop part of the state government responsible for helping businesses that interact with any state entity regarding regulations, permitting, grants and financing, etc.  This would include NJDEP, NJDOT, NJEDA, DCA, Department of the Treasury, etc.

This should be an excellent opportunity for businesses that are currently having difficulties with state agencies to ask Director Kellner questions either in public or if they can manage it, one-on-one.  In addition, it should enlighten all the business men and women present as to where help can be found in any future interactions they may have with state government.

Last years event had nearly 200 registered attendees.  We also have tentative confirmation that Mayor McCauley and the Township Committee will be in attendance.  This is a great opportunity, particularly for newer businesses in Hillsborough, to meet with their fellow business colleagues, the Mayor, Township Committee and other Township officials including those from the business permitting and inspections Departments. 

I encourage all attendees to bring literature and offer door prizes to help promote your business.  Please send me an email at gstrupinsky@hillsborough-nj.org if you would like to provide a door prize.  There will be literature tables set-up around the room for your information to be on display. 

The fee will be $10.00 payable at the event by cash. 

Tentative Agenda

5:00 PM - Registration begins.  Networking in the bar area until 6:30 PM.  Guests can spread out throughout the restaurant and smokers can use the outside lounge area.  The EBDC will collect the $10.00 registration fee** (cash only).  **One ticket will be given upon payment of the $10 registration fee to use toward (1) Miller Draft Beer or a glass of Sangria.

5:30 PM - Hors d'oeuvres and Hot & Cold Food are available.

Chicken Francaise
Assorted Sandwiches (Turkey, Roast beef, and Ham)

6:45 PM - Move to main room for business portion of the night.

7:00 PM - Business part of the program begins.

8:00 PM - Event ends.

Lastly, don't forget to bring plenty of business cards, arrive early and stay late.  It will be another great business social event!
