The StuckOnSalsa Mambo Makeover is art course consisting of 3 hours of class room work at Roda Dance studio in Takoma Park and after that we will head over to practice what we learned in class at one of the hottest Social is in the city , The special Edition of , Mr. Mambo and SOS Social at the DC Dance Collective loacted at 4908 Wisconsin ave nw wdc 


Our class begins by breaking down the basic steps, your mambo shines, salsa timing, musicality, rhythms and various tempos of salsa music. We are renowned for taking basic beginners through the intermediate and advanced levels

Music and Timing

The first hour consists of salsa rhythm and timing section where we we show you how to find the down beat or the 1 in a song. We will have a specialguest live percussionist playing conga and clave sticks 

FootWork

The second hour consists of learning "mambo shines" (which is fancy, sexy, open solo footwork), and how to execute shines with a unique smoothness all your own.

Partnerwork
The third hour focuses on partnerwork, consisting of basic turn patterns , leading and following techniques, and much more. A partner is not necessary to attend any of our classes, as we have a rotation policy.
