National Portrait Gallery - Facing History: Be the Artist

2:00 - 4:00 p.m. on select Saturdays throughout the year.

This class is designed for children ages five and up with their families to explore portraiture more in-depth.  Participants will take a brief guided tour of an exhibition and focus on a specific object (or two), listen to a children's story or short gallery talk, and create a piece of art using the same materials or concepts.

Registration is required.  Please register for all of the people in your group - children and adults.  Class size limited to 34 participants.  Parents and guardians must remain with their children.

Save a tree!  You do not have to print your tickets in order to participate in the program.  Just give your name in the Education Center when you enter.
