Get ready to be transported 6,000 miles south to enjoy the amazing wines of South America. Chile and Argentina are making some of the most important and revered wines in the world - all with extraordinary quality-to-value. Now in its fifth year, South American Superstars has become the largest and most important tasting of its kind in the country. Check out pictures from last year's event.
THE ULTIMATE SUMMER SETTING
Our first summer tasting takes us to a brand new and inspired outdoor venue - Jones - in the heart of downtown San Francisco. The vibe though is Miami meets Buenos Aires on their sprawling, sheltered and heated patio. And with the solstice the day prior, the entire event will be in daylight. Stick around afterwards to enjoy their fire pit, excellent cocktails and tasty food.
WORLD CLASS WINES
Join us as we sample over 125 top wines from virtually every important importer and distributor of South American wine. We'll also be including a few wines from Uruguay this year, including the hearty Tannat grape.
You will be taken on a tour of Chile's main wine regions including the Maipo, Colchagua and Casablanca Valleys, while savoring Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and the wonderfully spicy and chocolately varietal Carmenère - our pick to become 'the next Malbec' on our shores.
Argentina's main wine regions border Chile in the foothills of the Andes, with the Mendoza Valley being the most prominent, along with the Salta region to the North. You will try Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Bonarda, Merlot, Torrontés, Chardonnay and lots of Malbec (over 30 different kinds) - the most important grape of Argentina.

Enjoy hearty artisan cheese and charcuterie from AG Ferrari, Mate Veza beer infused with the yerba mate herb indigenous to Argentina....and tango dancers!
