Charge those phones, cameras, laptops and tablets --it's time for the Second Annual Social Media Day, hosted by Livio Radio (@livioradio) and MotorCity Casino Hotel (@motorcitycasino)! (Hashtags #SMDay #Det)

Not sure what to wear?  It doesn't matter if you're rockin' a t-shirt or a jersey. Just don't wear a suit unless you normally would and be ready to pose for some epic twitpics.

1. Theme - "Detroit Rock City"
   We'll celebrate all things Social Media while focusing on everything great about the Motor City.  There'll be special guest DJ's funky-ing up the joint, a tweet-ing Ford Fiesta (featuring the new Livio Radio mobile app), oh and the Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Tigers Social Media crews will be stopping by!

2. Video Contest
   Love Social Media?  Love shooting videos?  Love montages?  Put together a short video about why you can't imagine life without social media (or what Social Media means to you), upload it to YouTube, and send us a link.  We'll select our 3 favorites and play them at the big event (oh, and we'll throw in a few kick-ass prizes for the winners, too). Entries can be emailed to smdaydet@gmail.com 

3. Tickets, Age Limit

   We're shooting for 1,000 people this time around (we know, it's gonna rock).  Please limit your orders to 4 tickets/email address.  Everyone must be 21+ to attend (no exceptions).
   

   
   
   

4. Day of (more details to be added shortly)
   The main event is over at 10 p.m. and, since there ain't no party like a Detroit party, we're throwing an after party in Amnesia with the best views of the City you'll ever see (16^th floor of the hotel) that'll rock until 2 a.m.  
   
   

5. Bring your gadgets.  There’s free Wi-Fi and given all the great photo/posting/blogging opportunities, the security frisking will be well worth it :-)  Plus a constant stream on a trending topic is a nice way to brag to all your friends that didn't make it.
   

6. Hotel
