Can't make the dinner Sunday?
We've got another dinner, tickets here: Monday dinner
This month The Wild Kitchen is welcoming a long time hero of mine. We're partnering with Hank Shaw, a fellow forager, blogger, and author of Hunt, Gather, Cook: Finding the Forgotten Feast.
We're leading a day long fishing excursion and inviting fellow eaters
to join us in foraging their dinner. The next night we'll be cooking up
our catch, with recipes from guest chef Hank Shaw.
Fishing will be on July 23rd, starting at 6am. We will be renting a boat for a day trip in the ocean. Hopefully the surf won't be too rough, but be prepared for a few waves.
The "Dinner and Fishing" is for a fishing trip on July 23rd as well as a dinner the next night, July 24th
-People going fishing will need a valid CA fishing license, which can be purchased at Sports Authority, as well as any local fishing or hunting store.
-There will be a $20 rental charge for fishing gear on the boat unless you bring your own
The meal will be on July 24th, starting at 6:30pm
Please note: we will be using most of the fish we catch on the boat for the meal the next night, so no keepers for the crew (don't worry, we'll do your fish proud the next night). See you on the water!
