Each year on a Thursday in August we take our classes to York Beach for the evening. Most students agree that these are the best classes of the year and not to be missed.
There is no fee to attend Beach Day.
Students who register here and participate in class will receive class credit.
There will be one class for all ages and ranks at 5:30pm.
NO UNIFORMS! Bring your bathing suit and be prepared to train in the surf. Also, bring quarters to feed the parking meter.
We will meet at the life guard station on Short Sands, York Beach, Maine, 5 minutes before class begins.
In the case that the weather is questionable, please call the Academy. If the weather is not conducive to training at the beach, we will have our regular class schedule at the Academy.
