We headed down to Cambridge with Louis in the Easter break to collect Louis' Snapdragon powerchair.  It quickly proved to have been absolutely the right choice as Louis immediately started having adventures with his dragon.  

For the first time Louis has picked flowers and played with gravel, things other kids do all the time.  He is loving driving around in 'go-kart' mode, as close to the ground as possible.  He quickly grasped how to use all the controls and understood that the turbo-boost button should only be used outside!

It has been quite a journey.  We never expected to raise the money, let alone raise it in only ten weeks!  We were overwhealmed by the kind and generous response we got from everyone - close friends, relatives, friends of friends, colleagues, neighbours, and total strangers!  You have all been AMAZING!  We cannot thank you all enough!

We are having a dragon-themed party to celebrate Louis' new dragon powerchair and to try and thank everyone who supported us through holding events, donating money, publicising the cause and providing moral support.

EVERYONE is invited!!

The Yard, Leith are letting us use their venue and putting on a buffet for us.  We will have music, cake, games and fun.

Travelling by car

Onstreet parking on Anderson Place or Anderson Place Lane (see map.)

Travelling by bus

The 36 bus route is really close, but quite infrequent on a Sunday, only running every half hour at best.

Buses to leith walk like the 12, 16, 22, 25 and  much more regular, then a 10 minute walk down to The Yard.  I've attached a map showing a route through the park.  

You can take a short cut directly across Pilrig Park, from Balfour street as long as you don't mind a bit of a scramble and cutting through some bushes. Otherwise follow the longer route following the paths as indicated.
