Junior Naturalists: Industrious Beavers
Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 7:30 PM (MDT)
Idledale, United States
Enjoy a twilight stroll along Bear Creek and learn about the beaver: an industrious logger and supreme builder. You'll learn about how beavers survived at Bear Creek, what they ate and see a few beaver lodges and dam spots. You'll even get to construct a dam and see if yours is as strong as a beaver's dam. It'll be a 2 mile round trip hike.
Please bring a flashlight, water and shoes that you may not mind getting wet. There will be waders for adults, but not kids.
This class is for ages 6-10 with an adult only.
Registration for this program is available one month before the date of the program. If you are registering during this time, but space is no longer available, please call Lookout Mountain Nature Center at 720-497-7600 to be placed on a waiting list.
