Video Games are amazing to behold.  Huge, strong and dominating the entertainment industry.  And they are evolving.  They have to: the technology, culture and business of games is changing at breakneck speeds.  Consoles Are Dinosaurs is a one night forum for discussion between leading minds in the city who both actively agree and passionately disagree that consoles will soon be extinct.  Come out for an evening of brilliant insights, cheap drinks, and speakers that don't suck!

Topics for the night include:

Gamification * Metrics Driven Design * Location Based Games  * Games for Good * Why you're all ridiculous and consoles aren't going anywhere * Virtual Goods are Valuable * Many more unannounced * "Dinosaurs are hard to hunt, and will eat you" - why life is better for programmers in the post console world

Also to be Discussed

Mobile games are annoying gnats that pester you and social games are giant jellyfish with no substance.
