EVERY YOUNG VOICE WORKSHOPS (COVENTRY)

27th October, 24th January, 14th March

BYC believes that diverse and representative local youth councils are essential to represent the views of young people effectively and engage with their local councils, children’s trusts and other community organisations in a meaningful and informed way. By the end of the 3 part course Local Youth Councils will:

  • Have the skills and tools to consult with a range of young people
  • Identify the range of young people in their area
  • Produce an action plan for submission to cildren’s trusts and elected representatives
  • Find other similar local organisations that they can work with

The course is being run in Coventry in three parts on the 27th October, 24th January and 14th March and it is essential you can attend all sessions. Each Youth Council can send upto three people one of which may be a staff member.

British Youth Council

The British Youth Council, as the national youth council of the UK, aims to connect with our member organisations and networks of local youth councils, to empower young people aged 25 and under, wherever they are from, to have a say and be heard. We aim to help them to participate in decisions that affect them; have a voice and campaign on issues they believe in, inspire them to have a positive impact, and gain recognition for their positive contribution to communities, society and the world.
