You consider yourself a pro or you hope to be one soon, and now you are going out to shoot some underwater images. You do not want to come back with crappy images to show your family, friends or - even worse - your client. Just remember, no matter how good you are in Photoshop, you can't make good images out of bad ones.

Come join ASMP/SD and Al Bruton for an evening of underwater photography. We will explore the rules you need to know, the type of equipment you need, and some some tips on advanced techniques. It will be a fun and informative evening, preceeded by a 3-projector slide show.

Bio. Al Bruton: Now retired, Al is an award winning underwater photographer and videographer. His work has been published in almost all underwater magazines in the US, Canada, Mexico and Europe in addition to many non diving publications. He has had 44 magazine covers and credits on all national television networks in the US, Canada and Mexico. He has an extensive list of national corporations and government agencies for which he has shot. But the bottom line is that Al loves to dive, and can't do so without a camera in his hand.

The lecture will be on August 28th. Registration begins at 6:30pm with the meeting to start at 7:00pm at Atkinson! Studios, 9550 Chesapeake Drive, Suite 203, San Diego. ADDITIONAL NOTE: On Saturday August 30th ASMP Members may attend the hands-on/in-the-pool meeting. Time to be determined, and information will be available at the Thursday meeting. This event will be hosted by Al in his very own pool. Several swimsuit models will be on hand to be photographed. :-)
