Adobe® Photoshop - Intermediate
Module Eight

With the steady growth in the digital photography industry, the need for Photoshop knowledge is more in demand than ever.  This seminar is designed to get you up and running with the Intermediate tools listed below.  These tools will help you become more productive in this popular image editing software.

Photoshop is the Digital Darkroom of choice for a large segment of the photographic industry and this seminar is designed to make you a more powerful user.  So make your workflow easier by attending this seminar.

Although this seminar is geared towards the beginner, we will cover some topics that are useful to many users who are already using Photoshop.  I will provide you with instruction on these tools and their use with a variety of examples.  You will have the opportunity to use your computer during this seminar, or you can take notes to work on later.  Each student will be seated at a desk with power available, but the computer is optional.

I will demonstrate the use of a wide variety of tools and then go through the procedures at a pace that you can follow along with.  You'll learn a variety of methods for editing your photos and compositions that will make your life and work flow much easier.

Tools and Procedures We'll Cover:

Module 8
Using masks for hand-colored Black & White effect.
Desaturation to create Black & White elements.
Brightness & Contrast to create better balance in your Black & White elements.
Modifying brushes / saving brushes to perform special functions.

Example of modifying an image and cropping to make a compositeI will be teaching this workshop with Photoshop Version 7 or above.  The tools that I'm teaching exist in almost all versions of Photoshop including Elements.  However, the location and function of the tools vary from version to version.  You will still benefit from the workshop if you are using Elements or any other version of Photoshop.

To get more practice with these tools look for one of the Photoshop Workshop Sessions.
