Often the first step to better money management is to get familiar with the basics.  This full-day workshop is designed to do just that.  Using a workbook written by Shags, you will gain practical knowledge in the following areas:

·        Sources of Income

·        Ideas for Saving and Budgeting

·        Tips for Saving and Investing

·        Tax Planning Ideas

·        Understanding Your Insurance Needs

·        Estate Planning

·        Selecting, Interviewing and Working

        with a Financial Advisor

In this last area you will learn the difference between planning professionals and sales professionals, how they are paid, how the things they sell or services they provide are priced, and how to have a relationship based on a designed alliance. Though financial professionals make recommendations based on their understanding of your unique situation, the final decision and ultimate responsibility for taking action rests with you.

This course will give you the basic knowledge you need to be an informed consumer and enable you to better navigate the world of personal finance
