This simple question led to a global quest for four Americans. During a thought-provoking journey through fourteen countries, four American “listeners” linger in some unforgettable places, from a bling-bling Shanghai hip-hop club to a bullet-pocked Afghan village. Emotional encounters with diverse and fascinating characters reveal the breadth of United States impact on ordinary people’s lives around the world.
