Event Details

In 2005, a project was developed to form partnerships between Law Enforcement and Private Security organizations. “Operation Partnership”,  brought together law enforcement and security personnel from area businesses to deal with the rapidly changing areas of multi-dimensional crimes, such as computer fraud, identity theft, and a host of white collar crimes. While police could provide crime trend data and records information, private security could provide special resources and expertise that would not otherwise be available. This partnership has proven to be a valuable asset in community oriented policing.

In the years since its start, technology, and the evolution of education systems operated by for profit entities have added a new factor to be considered by both Law Enforcement and Private Security.  This symposium is intended to foster cooperation between these three groups to further enhance and strengthen this process.  This growing sector of for profit educational institutions are actively engaged in providing training and education for a large segment of the future work force. In addition, they often have access to specialized research projects that might not otherwise be available to law enforcement or private security.

Key note speaker: Steve Harris, ASIS LELC, will discuss critical incident analysis, and the development of partnerships between public and private security and educational institutions.

Afternoon panel discussion of critical incident analysis protocols , communication and partnership case studies  by;

Mike Howard-Global Director of Security for Microsoft
