The Career and Networking Seminar (CNS) is open to students of all majors and backgrounds. The seminar consists of students being trained in fundamental skills necessary for career success through professional-led workshops on etiquette, interview techniques, workplace ethics, and networking, as well as a Q&A panel. Workshops will be led by Alexandra Calingo, winner of Miss Talent & Miss Photogenic at the 2010 Miss Asian America Pageant; Francis Kong, NerdCore Learning/EdgeOnCollege and other prominent alumni.
During the second half of the event, students will have the opportunity to put their new skills to the test and mingle with Alumni from various career fields, including Medicine, Law, Business, Engineering, and Architecture, and organizations such as Cisco, Kaiser Permanente, U.S.Department of Housing and Urban Development , Green Tech Power Group, the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC).
Additionally, CNS provides students with opportunities to find mentors, potential job openings, and internships. Business casual attire.
Sign in and Registration will begin at 6:15. Contact cards are provided on a first come first serve basis. Refreshments will be provided.
