Saturday, August 09, 2008 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM (ET)
In this class, we'll talk about the design and implementation of
larger LED displays. We'll start building a small LED grid that can
display scrolling text messages, and show you how to control it with
an expandable Arduino-based driver board that you can take home with
you. No prior knowledge of microcontrollers is necessary (although it
is helpful if you want to use custom code on the board), but you
should have at least some knowledge of how to use a soldering iron.
UPDATE: We're running low on p-channel mosfets, so I'm capping the class w/board at 4 people. If you want to take the course without walking away with the control board, you can buy the cheaper ticket and we'll waive the lab fee. We'll be selling control board kits seperately in the coming months.
$50 + $25 lab fee (1 kit remaining)
2 hour session
