In this show, Colombia�s history, diversely themed cultural regions, colorful native costumes, authentic music, and rhythmic dances are theatrically woven together into one spectacular extravaganza: COLOMBIA, HERITAGE ALIVE
�Bajucol, takes the spectator through a compelling journey of Colombia�s folkloric regions to experience their contagious music and dance, brilliant festivals, and lively carnivals that are an essential part of the vibrant geographical regions of Colombia.

Ballet Folklorico Juvenil colombiano
The Colombian Folkloric Dance Group (BAJUCOL) was formed in 1995 to promote and preserve the Colombian culture among the youth of the growing Colombian Community of the New England area. Through education and performance BAJUCOL's mission is to foster self-esteem and discipline among youth, create an open forum of cultural exchange, and dispel the myths and misconceptions that surround the image of Colombia.
Since its inception, BAJUCOL has been actively promoting the Colombian folklore throughout the United States. BAJUCOL has been recognized as the most authentic expression of Colombian folklore in the New England Area and has toured and performed throughout New England and several American cities. In addition to its annual regular dance performance, BAJUCOL also performs at elementary and high schools, colleges and universities, churches and community centers as well as festivals.
