Target Audience:
Staff of any library participating in LiLI Unlimited, with access to OCLC's online cataloging and interlibrary loan tools.
Workshop Description:
Learn the basic procedures needed to manage an ILL request in OCLC's WorldCat Resource Sharing service. Attendees will learn the core concepts to create a borrowing request and to respond to a request as a lender. Topics include an overview of WorldCat Resource Sharing, the basic ILL cycle, Constant Data records, and simple management of ILL requests. Searching will not be covered, participants are encouraged to participate in the Searching session during the first day of training.
