SF Food Bank collects millions of pounds of food from growers, packers, processors, manufacturers, the USDA and grocery stores. This can include test-marketed products, items close to code date, produce that is the wrong shape or size for conventional markets and excess. Food drives are an important source of variety.

Volunteers sort, repack and shelve over 350 tons of food at our warehouse every week, doing the work of what would be about 50 full-time employees. At any given time, we have around 2 million pounds of food in our warehouse.

About our Calvary Connects Project: AGES 8+

We will sort and package food at the Food Bank. Dress comfortably. It can get cold at the Food Bank, so wear a light jacket. This is "Family Day", so everyone 8+ are welcome! Please count each person/child that will be attending when you register.

*Please wear your Calvary Connects blue shirt. If you don't have one, you can pick one up Sundays in Calvin Hall.*
