Regardless of experience level, when we are playing at the edge of our technical ability there is a tendency to plant our feet, lock up our body, and put all of our focus on what our hands are doing with our poi.
This workshop gives you the foundational elements, focal points, forms and understanding you need to increase your freedom of movement. You'll develop the tools you need to evolve from stationary tricks to dynamic flow technique!
Description
This class will cover a variety of applied techniques while emphasizing how to add graceful movement and flow to technical spinning.
Snakes, Body Tracing, Stall Chasers, and the other techniques we'll cover lend themselves to merging geometric spinning with body contouring and expressive movement.

To attend Alien Jon workshops an 'Experienced Beginner' should be comfortable with basic poi spinning. Please watch the following video, my friend Nick Woolsey of Playpoi.com demonstrating guidelines for what you should be familiar with. Make sure you are comfortable with most of these things.
