Ozarks / Branson Foliage Photo Excursion - October 9th & 10th, 2004

It's that time again, for us to all go out and have a blast taking photos.  This time we'll head for our neighboring Missouri to catch the fall foliage.  Anyone who has participated in one of our Photo Excursions knows how much fun these trips are already.  Maybe it's time for you to join us and experience the fun for yourself. 

We've done an expeditionary trip to this area on September 11, 2004 and it looks like our timing will be ideal to see some great fall colors on this trip.

The following is a list of sites that will be among our stops;

• Shell Knob

• Cape Fair

• Branson

• Roaring River State Park

• Big Spring Park

• Seneca

We will depart at midnight on October 8th (Friday Night/Saturday Morning) to arrive for sunrise shots on Table Rock Lake.  From there we'll proceed to Shell Knob for some more early day shooting as we make our way towards Branson.  We will stay overnight in Branson and you'll have plenty of time to take in the sights.  Our hotel is right on the strip, making it easy for you to take in a show or just enjoy the sights and shops.  We arrive in Branson in the early afternoon on Saturday so you may want to book seats for a show if there's something you've been wanting to see.

On Sunday we'll leave early in the morning to do some more sunrise shooting along our journey back.  We'll be stopping at Eagle Rock, Roaring River State Park, Big Spring Park and scenic Seneca as we make our way back to Kansas by late afternoon or early evening.

Transportation (charter bus), lodging, water and snacks are included in your registration price.  Rooms are double occupancy, but you can get a private room at a very reasonable rate too.

The cost is $150 for members and $200 for non-members.  Members may bring a spouse or guest for the member rate.  Membership cost $30 per year, so become a member now and save on future trips too.  Member rates are extended to members of the Wichita Area Camera Club also.
