Event Details

For thirty years, the Ford Hall Forum’s Louis P. and Evelyn Smith First Amendment Award has honored individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary commitment to promoting and facilitating the thoughtful exercise of our rights of freedom of expression. This year, the Forum is proud to present the award to journalist and First Amendment expert Anthony Lewis.

The Board of Directors of the Ford Hall Forum cordially invite you to join us, along with this year’s award recipient, for a reception on Thursday, April 21, at 5:00 p.m. at the offices of Prince, Lobel, Glovsky, and Tye LLP on the 22nd floor of 100 Cambridge Street. Wine and appetizers will be served.

Following the reception will be the First Amendment Award Ceremony and forum, a captivating conversation between Anthony Lewis and America’s leading First Amendment lawyer, Floyd Abrams. Reception guests will receive priority seating at this event in the C. Walsh Theatre at Suffolk University at 55 Temple Street at 6:30 p.m.
