Join us Tuesday, March 22 as Chef Emeril Lagasse marks the launch of the Culinary Arts program at New Orleans Center for Creative Arts! The celebration includes a champagne reception catered by Joel's Grand Cuisine and an "Inside the Chef's Studio" interview with Chef Lagasse, moderated by American Routes' Dr. Nick Spitzer. Chef Lagasse will also unveil the new home of the Culinary Arts program, the Emeril Lagasse Foundation Culinary Arts Studio!

ABOUT NOCCA AND THE NOCCA INSTITUTE
The New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA) is a tuition-free arts conservatory for high school students and an agency of the State of Louisiana. The mission of The NOCCA Institute, a non-profit organization, is to provide support and advocacy for NOCCA. The Institute provides access to excellence in the arts for students, faculty, and the community-at-large.
ABOUT NOCCA'S CULINARY ARTS PROGRAM
NOCCA’s Culinary Arts program launches in August 2011. Developed in collaboration with the Emeril Lagasse Foundation, the program will offer young artists the opportunity to study with leading master chefs. The program has also been supported by Johnson & Wales University, which has written the first-of-its-kind, four-year Culinary Arts curriculum for high school students.
Lead support for the Culinary Arts program has been provided by Emeril Lagasse Foundation, with generous additional support from Macy’s, Gustaf W. McIlhenny Family Foundation, Selley Foundation, Galatoire’s Foundation, and New Orleans Wine and Food Experience.

The NOCCA Institute
New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA) is a world-class educational institution that has been changing the lives of young people since 1973. Every year, this professional arts training center provides intensive instruction in Classical Music, Creative Writing, Culinary Arts, Dance, Drama, Jazz, Media Arts, Musical Theatre, Theatre Design, Vocal Music, Visual Arts, and academics to students from public, private, and parochial schools across Louisiana.
