Two Views - an ART exhibition by Zoom Pet Photography & Patty Mora Photography Benefiting Emancipet

Not to be missed! Patty Mora and Jay Herman have collaborated and produced a photography exhibition entitled ‘TWO VIEWS’. A unique look into two different styles of pet photography.  Come enjoy great food, drinks, some of our work, friends, and conversation, all benefiting a great cause Emancipet.

If you are a member of the Austin pet community then you probably already know about these two well- established photographers. It’s not unlikely that you have seen Jay Herman of Zoom Pet Photography around town snapping shots of pets being themselves. And you can’t miss Patty’s work all over town.

Both artists have been featured in calendars, have adorned the walls of businesses and nonprofits as well been featured photographers for Austin Pet Directory’s cover. If there is some small chance that you haven’t heard of them, now is your chance!

As much as we'd love everyone's furry friends to visit with us for the evening, the venue's landlord is not allowing pets. We're crossing our fingers they make an exception for Abby, Zoom's mascot and a certified therapy dog. Given the nature of the show, we will do our best to accommodate at future events.

Make sure to participate in the raffle. The winner will recieve a free photo session and all of the proceeds will benefit Emancipet!

Here are some of the peices that will be featured at the event!

Patty Mora Photography

A new twist to an old idea - Patty will be showing her new art series influenced by 17th Century still life painting. The twist? She incorporates pets!

After graduating with a Fine Arts degree , Patty made it her mission to “do good things” with her art. That promise has translated into donating her services to animal welfare groups and providing her clients with portraits of their family and pets that they can treasure forever. “I’m so grateful to be doing a job that makes people happy. There aren’t many jobs like that around these days”.

Over the years Patty Mora Photography has become one of the most highly respected pet photography businesses in Austin.

The ‘Two Views’ Exhibition marks the beginning of Patty’s year long tour across the west coast, but don’t worry she’ll be back to visit and take as many pictures as she can!

Zoom Pet Photography

Jay Herman’s experience in photography encompasses everything from medical to fine art photography but “the level of fulfillment I recieve from photographing animals is multi-layered and the fun had by all is icing on the cake!” Zoom Pet Photography was inspired by Jay’s faithful companion, Abby “Hungry” Herman; a sweet, gentle, certified therapy dog who's known more around town than her dad. Jay has a unique ability to capture animals in a natural environment; not only does he produce phenomenal shots of them running, jumping, and playing, he is equally skilled at capturing touching moments and beautiful portraits. Whether it be a pet’s innate ability to lift the spirit or the unconditional love expressed through soulful eyes, Jay’s focus in capturing an animal’s essence is crystal clear. On display will be samples from client photo sessions as well as the unveiling of a few surprises from a new fine art series. You’ll just have to drop by to see what’s in store.
