What Are They and Why Do I Need Them?

Is your business name protected? What about your customer lists? Are you doing all you can to protect the intellectual property of your business or nonprofit?

Attend this workshop to learn the legal concepts of trademarks, copyrights and patents. You’ll learn exactly why you should register trademarks and copyrights, and how to enforce them. The seminar will also address internet disclaimers and laws governing websites.

This workshop is essential for small business owners and nonprofit organizations alike. You will have the opportunity to have your questions answered by a panel of intellectual property professionals from McDonald’s Corporation.

Fee: $35 ($30 if by 8/1). Advance registration required. Sign-in begins 9:15am. Workshop 9:30-11am. Light breakfast provided by Neal Gerber Eisenberg LLP.

The Community Economic Development Law Project is a project of the Chicago Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, Inc.
