Learn about beer and meet new people!

All About Beer Magazine‘s World Beer Festival is committed to working with other local players that help keep communities strong. We partner with local non-profit organizations and donate a part of the festival proceeds to them. Over the years, the World Beer Festival has contributed over $140,000 to local causes. This years charity partner will be Artsplosure. Artsplosure was founded in 1979 to present high quality and accessible arts festivals and to identify, nurture, and showcase emerging artists and arts groups to a broad cross-section of people.  The non-profit corporation currently presents First Night Raleigh and Artsplosure – The Raleigh Arts Festival.

If you volunteer for the World Beer Festival you will:

  • Support Artsplosure
  • Have a great time
  • Meet new people
  • Learn about beer
  • Support and help building the local beer community
  • Receive a half year subscription (three issues) of All About Beer Magazine

Are you fanatical about beer and enjoy talking with people?  Are you a seasoned WBF volunteer or attendee?  If you are, maybe you would like to become a World Beer Festival "Growler", part of our marketing team to promote World Beer Festivals.  By helping to promote ticket sales, you also help us keep costs down AND further support Artsplosure.  This involves handing out literature and talking about the Festival experience at our advance events.  Examples would be participating at our poster contest winner announcement, or at a beer tasting at a sponsor location in March.  Or it could be representing us at another public event like the The Independent's Pub Crawl in April.  Either way, it's beer in a lively, fun setting, and a great way to reach the uninitiated, and help to turn the Triangle into the best beer region in the country!

Those who join in this effort will receive some extra perks, based on the time donated.  So, if you're willing to donate a two or more evenings between now and April 9, sign up to be a Growler and we'll contact you about the program.  Thank you.
