Automated Testing with Selenium

If you make frequent updates to your web applications, QA testing can be time-consuming burden if a developer bothers to do it well, if at all.  But what if you could just tell your browser to go off on its own, run some tests, and check whether or not your code works?  That's exactly what the Selemium plugin does for you.  And it's so easy.  Once you realize how easier it is to record and run tests instead of reacting to bugs that your customers find in production, you'll fall in love with Selenium.

This talk, given by CFUG co-manager Tom Mollerus, will tell you how to record and edit tests, run them in your browser as needed or even on a scheduled basis, and generally make your whole life easier.

About the Speaker

Tom Mollerus has been consulting on web development, information architecture, and user interfaces since 1996. Currently a Senior Web Developer at PingIdentity.com, he brings a high degree of technical expertise and experience to online businesses.

Location

This presentation will be held at Ping Identity's offices in Waltham, right off of 95.  After the meeting we'll head a few blocks over for drinks at The Naked Fish or Pizzaria Uno.
