A 'must' for photo students, assistants and emerging photographers. Even
the most seasoned veteran will have something to take away from this
talk.
Rob Stephen of Photo Monkey, Beau Blackburn and Jesse Dhein will lead
you through an all-encompassing look at "All Things Grip &
Lighting."
This full day seminar will include explanations, demos, and hands-on
opportunities for all attendees. On all productions, big and small, it's
critical to know what you're doing and how to keep yourself and those
around you safe. From the humble sand bag to the most complicated pack
math everyone will learn something new.
What are the key differences between a Profoto, Speedotron, Dynalite and
Norman power pack? Which one can kill you? [Trick question... A: All of
them]. How do you safely rig a boom? Why do you need to know how to
use a light meter in the digital age? These questions and more will be
answered.
The workshop will also feature a grip truckload of all the coolest and
newest stuff. The program will be both curriculum and participant driven
so please bring your questions!
Join us on Saturday, February 26th. Check-in and social time will begin
at 9:30am with the program beginning promptly at 10:00am and ending
around 4pm. A light lunch and drink will be provided.
Cost: $10 for ASMP Members and Students, $15 Non-Members. Admission at the door will be $5 more.
