Portage County Taste of Wine & Cheese!
Scheduled for the evening of Friday March 25th, 2011 at the Noel Group Hangar, the event will feature over 100 different types of wine from around the globe, handcrafted beers, dozens of specialty cheeses, delicious desserts, live jazz music by Bob Kase, former UWSP Music Department Chair, and a large silent auction. More than six-hundred people attended the Portage County Taste of Wine & Cheese fundraiser last year, raising over $50,000 to support the important youth development programs provided by the Boys & Girls Clubs throughout Portage County.

Boys & Girls Club of Portage County
Our silent auction will be full of wonderful items, with all proceeds benefitting the Boys and Girls Club of Portage County. Some of the featured auction items this year include a relaxing 2 night stay at the Bailey’s Harbor Yacht Club Resort in Door County donated by Mark and Joey Patrick, a “Miracle on Ice” 16X20 photo signed by the members of the 1980 US Men’s Olympic Hockey Team, snowshoes donated by Hostel Shoppe, 18 bottles of wine donated by @1800, several golf packages, two pendants designed and donated by Brody Designs, and a Family Photo Package provided by Contemporary Photography.
We will again have "Sippin' For Bling," sponsored by Lee Ayers Jewelers. For a $20 entry, you and up to 75 others will receive a wine glass with a few sips. One glass will have a fake diamond in it and this is the winner of a REAL loose diamond!
