C4 is one of the newest programs offered by the Chinese Culture Center of San Francisco. Following the principal of “Bridging,” C4 hopes to further CCC’s goal of encouraging understanding of Chinese culture. This year, we have chosen films with the aim of providing a closer look at as well as introducing fresh perspectives on various topics affecting Chinese and Chinese Americans. We hope that these films will collectively provoke thought on the social and cultural complexity of the Greater China region, the lives of Chinese and Chinese Americans in the U.S, and the perceptions of Chinese people and culture by non-Chinese filmmakers. It is time for this most populous nation on earth to be understood: its people, its culture, and its history. Thank you for joining us for the start of an exciting new program! We hope you enjoy the films!
Here is a tentative schedule for this year's program. Most films begin at 1pm, but some films have different screening times. For the most updated schedule, please check our website at www.c-c-c.org
