The event is a free training course for professionals - especially teachers - working with children and adolescents under the age of 18. The training will inform about:
What it means to be a young carer and the impacts that caring can have on a young person and his/her education.
This training aims to be a first step towards a strategic approach which will help schools to provide support for young carers. It highlights the need for a young carer's policy, training and awareness.
The training is provided by young carers in connection with the young carers project at Centre33 in Cambridge.
The training event is free of charge and funded by Centre33.
