Pumped & Get Tight!
Ready to
supplement your yoga with a powerful muscle workout? Been out of
shape for a while and ready to make a change? Join us for our men-only
Bear Naked Muscle class every Thursday at 8pm or on Sunday evenings at 6pm.
Each class is 1-hour long. We will exercise (naked) to some great
music that will put a smile on your face and sweat on your body.
I'll make your body feel alive. During that time we'll warm up &
stretch, work the body making it stronger, learning, less prone to
injury and more flexible. We'll tighten your abs and your ass, build
your chest and arms, stretch you out and we'll leave you rested,
refreshed and relaxed.
During the class we'll focus on core strength (abs, back, chest,
glutes) and we'll tone the rest of your body. No matter if your
fitness level, you'll feel invigorated, challenged and inspired.
Classes will also incorporate balance, flexibility, endurance, body
image & health issues to give an overall healthier body.
Why Exercise Naked?
There's so many reasons! It allows the body to sweat and is more
efficient at cooling the body. It allows your instructor see your
body so he can help correct alignment problems. It creates a sense
of community. And best of all -- it's fun! Newbies, intermediates
and musclemen will all be challenged.
This class is for men-only and is taught in the
nude.
Classes are held at the No Place Like Om yoga studio and
Nick is your instructor.
This registration is for one class on the date listed. If you can not attend that date, please email us so that we don't hold up the class for you.
Class is $10 at the door. After 10 paid classes, your next two are free! Or, pay $50 for the month and get 30 days of unlimited fitness classes.
About Your Instructor:
What
does a 40+ year old Bear know about fitness? Plenty.
For over a decade, I taught for a national fitness certification
company. I presented workshops in anatomy & physiology, kinesiology
as well as created and presented step and aerobic workshops around
the US and Canada. I have presented over 3,000 workshops and was
invited to the White House to present a workshop to the White House
Fitness Staff. As a nationally recognized fitness leader, I
presented in 49 States, created 3 fitness videos, and prepared
hundreds of students for national certification. For nearly a decade
I predicted the fitness trends and always had a good time inspiring
others to get fit.
So what happened?
After 10 years of jumping around, I hung up my Reeboks. The constant
wear on my knees and hips left them damaged and aching. Because I
wasn't as active as I was (sometimes doing aerobics for up to 4
hours a day), my body responded and my Bear nature came through. Do
I regret it? Not at all. By taking a break from fitness, I was able
to let my body heal and put those good days in perspective.
However, I'm now ready to get sweaty again, and I'm looking for a
few good men to follow me! I use a hands-on approach; if I see that
you're out of alignment, I will gently guide you/your body so that
you stay in alignment. Poor alignment can lead to injury. My goal is
to make the class as safe and as effective as possible.
