Patient’s Perspective on Clinical Research

Brief Program Description:

This program will address the topic of clinical research from a patient’s perspective. The event will include presentations from patients who were enrolled in clinical research trials to help to educate research professionals on what it is like on the other side of the consent form.  

Program Objectives:

Participants will be able to:

1. Identify ways that clinical research practices can affect patients in positive and negative ways
2. Explain some of the ways that researchers can improve the research study experience for patients.
3. Apply the above gained knowledge in the clinical research setting in an effort to improve recruitment, compliance, and relationships with research subjects.

Program Agenda: Registration begins at 6:00pm; 6:00-7:00 PM Networking;

                                 7:00 – 8:30 PM Educational Program & Q&A

Target Audience: All clinical research professionals

           Non-members:  $25 (unless accompanied by a chapter member, then no cost).
