Event Details

Service, whether as the product offering itself in the service industry, or a key component of the tangible product industry, lags in its "body of knowledge" regarding innovation and development.

This interactive one-day workshop will take a "service-centric" view of the innovation and development process, with a goal of helping service companies increase long-term profitability by improving methodologies for defining and implementing their offerings.

Both individuals and small teams will benefit from the diverse group interactions and immersion in this off-site workshop. The class is capped at 20 students to foster the best possible learning environment to address each individual's learning needs:
  • Acquire an overall framework for implementing processes tailored to service providers
  • Discuss practices that have worked successfully in service businesses
  • Learn the similarities and differences with processes that are optimized for tangible products
  • Adopt "best practices" from the product sector while avoiding the common mistakes

This workshop is perfect for managers responsible for defining, developing and deploying services, specifically:

  • Business Unit Managers who have overall P&L responsibility at service providers.
  • Product Managers and those who have "cradle to grave" responsibility for services.  This may include product marketing managers and/or marketing managers.
  • Development Managers and Program Managers who are responsible for translating the business requirements into deployable services.

Led by Leland D. Shaeffer and Anthony Lemus, who come specially from California for us, this workshop qualifies as sixteen (16) Professional Development Hours toward PDMA’s NPDP recertification.  Fees include continental breakfast, light lunch, and afternoon snack.

Sign up now! Space is limited to 20, and early bird applies to online registration before June 11 at 6pm. Regular rate will apply until June 17 at 6pm. $40 surcharge will apply for late registration. Group rates are available. Contact Sue Burek at sueburek@gmail.com. This is a great value. It would have cost you $1500 + travel for the same workshop with Lee and Tony at PDMA's 2007 International Conference in Orlando!
