Information Engineering and Management (IEM) at UAB was designed by Industry leaders to meet the needs of working professionals looking for leadership and growth opportunities. UAB’s Information Engineering and Management (IEM) graduate degree provides clients the opportunity to enhance both technical AND business skills required in today’s business world. IEM reflects the needs of today’s marketplace: demanding, flexible and integrated.

As an IEM client you will share in the knowledge of a diverse and experienced group of peers and faculty while being continually exposed to relevant, new ideas and real world solutions. As a result, you will be better equipped to manage your career path as you evolve throughout the degree.  All IEM faculty bring real world experience to the degree and provide executive coaching to each client as part of the IEM Experience.

We now have 2 options available to you:

• Weekend Classes and an emphasis on coaching and a collaborative learning environment make IEM ideal for motivated professionals looking to take their career to the next level. Classes start in the fall and meet for approximately one weekend per month on campus. The degree commences with a three day seminar held in August. Clients complete the degree in 20 months earning a Master’s of Engineering (MEng).
• IEM Virtual Access - IEM is a distinguished business opportunity for any professional looking to advance their career. However, we realize that for a variety of reasons it doesn’t always make sense to pack-it-up and haul-it over to Birmingham, AL.  So, to make things easier and better for our clients, we decided that if you can’t come to us we will bring the classroom to you.  Clients complete the degree in 20 months earning a Master’s of Engineering (MEng).
