Welcome to our Annual Spring Tournament!

This tournament will feature competition in:

  • Board Breaking
  • Padded sword sparring
  • Submission grappling
  • Flag sparring

All ages and ranks are welcome to participate.

All competitors must line up at 11:00am.  Divisions will be created at that time according to age, size and rank as best we can given the number of competitors registered.  It is always more fun with more players, so encourage your friends in class to participate.

Early registration ends 2 days before the tournament.  Late registratin applies to everyone after that time.

Equipment required:

  • Padded sword, shield, helmet with face cage.  If necessary, we can borrow from other players.
  • Submission grappling requires a mouth guard and cup for guys.

For complete details, see your instructor.

Judges Certification Clinic:

The rules for this tournament will be generic enough that all students from all styles will be able to compete, however, if you want to understand the rules completely, join us for our Judges Certfification Clinic on 3/4 http://www.eventbrite.com/event/1142528333 - all ages and ranks are welcome.

Only certified judges will be officiating at this tournament, so get certified!

Friday Super Seminar:

All competitors who are registered by Friday are invited to attend a Super Seminar from 6-8pm taught by Master Randall.  The seminar is free and the topic is secret.  Be there to find out and have fun.

Regarding Board Breaking Competition...

We will be using real boards.

You are welcome to bring your own or purchase some at the tournament.

Boards will be available for just $3 each.

If you are bringing your own, use the guideline below for sizing:

Children ages 3-4: 1"thick x 12"high x 4"wide

Children ages 5-6: 1"thick x 12"high x 6"wide

Children ages 7-9: 1"thick x 12"high x 8"wide

Children ages 10-11: 1"thick x 12"high x 10"wide

Teens/Adults ages 12up: 1"thick x 12"high x 12"wide

Ask the lumberyard for #3 pine, 1X12. Make sure when cutting wood yourself that you look at the board with the grain horizontal for breaking.
