China Insider series
2008 Beijing Olympics Hype and Reality
Hidden China exclusive tour
IoD City China Interest Group Networking Reception
With the recent media attention on China being largely hostile (or
viewed as such from China), how do Chinese feel the Games will affect
China's business environment and relations with other countries? In a wider perspective, what benefits, challenges and opportunities do the Olympic Games bring to China? Has the Chinese government learned lessons of other Olympic host cities and will London learn from Beijing?
Join other IoD China Interest Group and CBBC members as well as members of the London business community with a strong interest of China to discuss these issues and more in the setting of the Great Eastern Studio, a centre for Chinese cultural awareness and business communication training in London.
Following a short presentation about Great Eastern Studio's programs we will hold a talk by Roy Graff, Managing Director of ChinaContact and Director of China Business Services. Roy will address the aforementioned topics and host an open discussion giving guests the opportunity to openly share their views.
We will introduce a special exclusive tour program which is scheduled for October 2008 and which will visit behind the scenes of several Unesco World Heritage sites in Western China. A social networking reception will follow.
