ABOUT THE PROGRAM...

Join us for a look at the “Shared Equity” model of marketing, and find out why it will become the branding standard for the future.


During an interactive session presented by Susan Armstrong & John DeCesaro, we’ll explore how the expanding social media platforms are impacting the way we communicate brands with our prospective customers.  Find out:

  1. How the shared equity model of branding works.
  2. Learn how to use qualitative research to identify core brand attributes.
  3. Understand how to craft a unique selling point into a brand marketing position.
  4. The impact of consumer control in new media on your brand.


We will share examples of “great” and “not-so-great” brand advertising, and give you an opportunity to rate these messages according to your own scale of excellence.

Our presenter, Susan Armstrong, is the president and CEO of Armstrong|Shank, a Wichita, Kansas marketing company currently celebrating its 30th year in business.

ABOUT SUSAN...

A native of Wichita and a cum laude graduate of Fort Hays State University, Susan began her career as a newspaper reporter. Susan founded the company in l98l after spending l0 years in journalism, public relations and advertising positions for other companies.

On her first day in business, Susan had a desk, a typewriter, a telephone and $700 in a savings account. Her son was 18 months old. Over the years, she has survived changes in the economy, changes in technology and changes in her industry. In 1999, she survived an F5 tornado that destroyed five buildings in her agency compound and forced her to relocate the agency for two months.

She is a writer, advertising executive and entrepreneur who loves to share ideas with other business owners and believes that we have a responsibility to give something back to our community and our world.

Susan is married to Bruce Armstrong, her husband of 40 years. They have two sons, Matthew and Zachary, and two dogs, Marli and Rascal
