The evening’s presenters are:
Dr. Marc Imhoff is the Project Scientist for NASAs Terra Mission. Dr. Imhoff specializes in the use of remote sensing and computer modeling to study human interactions with the biosphere and climate through the alteration of bio-geochemical cycles. He has worked extensively in developing the means to measure the effects of urbanization on biodiversity, food security, and climate. Dr. Imhoff holds a BS degree in Physical Geography and an MS degree in Agronomy from The Pennsylvania State University and a PhD in Biological Sciences from Stanford University.
Dr. Peter C. Griffith is the director of the Carbon Cycle & Ecosystems Office at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and is currently serving as Coordinator of the North American Carbon Program designed to quantify continental scale carbon sources and sinks in North America. Dr. Griffith holds a BS in Botany & Zoology from Duke University, a MS in Marine and Environmental Science from the University of Maryland, and a PhD in Ecology from the University of Georgia.
