Event Details

Renowned author Tom Perrotta is coming to the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA)! Mr. Perrotta is an author and educator, best known for his novels Election and Little Children, both of which were adapted into major Hollywood films. In fact, among Mr. Perrotta’s many honors is the Academy Award nomination he received for Best Adapted Screenplay for Little Children—an honor he shared with co-author Todd Field.

Mr. Perrotta will appear at NOCCA on Thursday, April 10 at 7pm. He will read from his recent writings and entertain questions from the audience. Maple Street Books will be on hand to provide copies of Mr. Perrotta’s novels and other works.

While in New Orleans, Mr. Perrotta will take part in the New Orleans New Writers Literary Festival, a literary event for high school students. The festival is being jointly organized by faculty from NOCCA and Lusher Charter High School and will feature locally, nationally, and internationally acclaimed authors, including Reza Aslan and Loida Maritza Perez. For details about the festival, please email Brad Richard at N.O.new.writers@gmail.com, or visit NOCCA.com.

Please note: Tickets will not be mailed. They will be held at Will Call and can be picked up on the night of the event. (Box office opens at 6pm.)
