Navigation Clinic - May 17, 2008 in San Carlos, California

A four hour introduction to navigation for adventure racers. The class will include information needed to complete an adventure race, including:

• How to read a topographical map
• How to plot UTM coordinates
• Taking and following bearings
• Distance estimation and pace counting

All participants will receive a Brunton 8010G compass suitable for adventure racing and a Basic Roamer AR navigation tool, included in the cost of the clinic. In addition, participants will receive a topographical map for future practice.
