Film Screening & Intimate Discussion of "Who Does She Think She Is?" - A Documentary About The Thorny Balancing Act Between Motherhood & Artistic Expression.

We had such great feedback from Momasphere's Lunafest Film Festival last spring that we decided to kick off this season with a screening and discussion as well. We've invited three Brooklyn-based creativity coaches- who also just happen to be moms- to facilitate an intimate conversation, after the screening, about some of the meaningful issues the film raises. The three coaches are Denise Laurin of Make a Living Creatively, Rahti Gorfien of Creative Calling Coaching and Joanna Lindenbaum of Soulful Coaching. We encourage you to invite creative mom friends. We'd hate to see them miss out on such a great film and discussion!

WHO DOES SHE THINK SHE IS?, a riveting documentary by Academy Award-winning producer Pamela Tanner Boll (Born Into Brothels), features five bold women who navigate some of the most problematic intersections of our time: parenting and creativity, partnering and independence, economics and art. Through their lives Tanner Boll explores what it means to nurture children and family, and keep the creative fire burning within.

The film considers an era when women were revered as cultural muses, and the modern era when most people are unable to name a handful of female artists. TO WATCH A TRAILOR AND LEARN MORE ABOUT THE FILM CLICK HERE.

Momasphere

Momasphere is an organization that creates innovative events and programs for moms of all ages, while also giving back to the community.  Proceeds of the events go to various charities that help women, children and families. Momasphere events empower, enrich and enlighten moms, by engaging them in stimulating and fun activities, talks and programs crafted to celebrate our individuality and address the "whole mom" (mind, body, spirit) in each of us.  Mom groups often focus on children of a certain age range, but we found that moms with children at any stage have so much to share. Momasphere offers a forum for activities that promote personal growth, fun and networking opportunities, for moms at any stage of life.
