Joyce Kauffman is a graduate of Northeastern University School of Law and a trained Mediator and Collaborative Lawyer. Her practice focuses exclusively on family law, with an emphasis on issues impacting the LGBT community. Attorney Kauffman is a member of the Family Law Advisory Council of the National Center for Lesbian Rights, former co-chair of the Massachusetts Lesbian and Gay Bar Association (now known as the Massachusetts LGBTQ Bar Association), and former chair of that organization’s Family Law Section. She is also a member of the Emeritus Board of Directors of Family Equality, a national organization advocating for the rights of LGBTQ families. Lawyers Weekly selected her as one of the Lawyers of the Year in 2009.
