Event Details
Your Santa Cruz Ski and Snowboard club is about to do it big and rent
out the entire Block hotel in South Lake Tahoe with the help of UCB's
and UCD's snow clubs for one incredible weekend of debauchery, swimsuit
riding, and other shenanigans! It's a hotel that was basically built
with the rowdy college-aged skier/snowboarder in mind, and it's going
to be all ours.
Because we're renting out the entire hotel, lodging and beverages will only be $35 per night, and Heavenly lift tickets are just $40 a day. Be prepared for some sweet spring snow day = less clothes and more fun.
This trip is members only, but if you haven't signed up yet you can purchase a membership for a discounted rate of $20. Again, this gets you hook ups from our sponsers and access to all of our spring events (jello wrestling/ skydiving/ parties/ camping/ houseboating anyone?)
The Block Hotel is a world famous destination spot for snow-minded people, designed by professional snowboarder Marc Frank Montoya and Las Vegas Hotelier Liko S. Smith. Recently a reality show called “The Block” was filmed there, about the Hotel’s crazy, snow-riding staff and clientele. For more information about this haven for shredders who like to get into shenanigans go to:

Just a little somethin' from The Block:
"THE BLOCK is a modern day renaissance in high altitude accommodations. All of our rooms include items like cordless phones, CD players, game consoles, board pegs, bike hooks and free wireless access. All rooms have a hip, 'no frills' look. Other amenities include free Gift Bags, Microwavable Popcorn, internet terminals, waxing/tuning services in the winter and rooftop hot tub.
THE BLOCK's amenities are almost too many to list. Free energy drinks, energy bars, DVD's, just to name a few. Wireless internet access, and the BLUEBIRD waxing room for all guests. Also, all rooms come equipped with PS2 game consoles, boot/glove dryers, board racks, and much, much more."
