Next Saturday, March 8^th the Chicago IDSA Chapter will be hosting a career workshop at the UIC campus downtown.  From 9am until 2pm,  we will engage a select group of young professionals with the local student population in order to help the students prepare for upcoming portfolio reviews and interviews.   There will be a panel discussion on the topic of challenges facing students as they get ready to enter a highly competitive job market.  We will talk about do’s and don’ts, what to look for in an employer, what to expect in your first job, corporate vs. consultancy and other topics that are burning in student’s minds.  There will also be break-out sessions with smaller groups to review student work and give feedback on presentation.  Finally, we will have some time for individual portfolio reviews and discussion with the professionals.
