Who are the People in Your Neighborhood? Engaging People Groups; Transforming Communities
Discover people groups in your community.
Learn how to explore other cultures.
Develop a Kingdom strategy.
Whether you are taking a mission trip overseas or planning ministries in your local community, knowing who you are reaching is the key to fiding the ways and means of connecting to them in their culture. The nations of the world have come to Colorado and unreached people groups are living all around you just waiting for someone to share the love of Christ with them.
The focus of this conference is to train you and your church in a process called ethnography. Ethnography is a hands-on approach to learning about people. Through observation, community mapping, and interviewing people living in your community, you will learn about them from their perspective and gain valuable knowledge as well as begin to build relationships with certain individuals. From the information and relationships you gain by doing ethnography, you will have an accurate picture of what is happening in the community, an understanding of the values, beliefs, concerns, and needs of that area, and the foundation on which to create an effective ministry strategy.
