Django 1.3 is out — time to upgrade!
Nearly a year in the making, Django 1.3 is now shipping. It includes a ton of bugfixes along with a bunch of major new features:
- Class-based views.
- Better support of Python’s logging tools.
- A new tool to help with handling static files.
- Greatly improved testing utilities via the unittest2 library.
- Configurable on-delete behavior.
- And more!

About the instructor
The instructor is Jacob Kaplan-Moss, one of the creators and lead developers of Django. He's been teaching Django and Python courses since 2006, and is the co-author of The Definitive Guide to Django (Apress, 2007).
This'll be an online class ("webinar") presented via GoToWebinar. This means you'll need a modern browser, Java, and a reasonably fast 'net connection. The class will be lecture format with plenty of time set aside for questions.
